It was Irwin Luck’s good fortune to have gone to India to meet Meher Baba in May of 1960. Meher Baba told him in a letter that he could come to see him for one hour. He traveled to India for that one precious hour but Baba had him stay for two weeks. For the next 10 years Irwin was under Baba’s loving guidance through the cables, visits and communications he received from Him.
After Baba dropped his body Irwin traveled around the world to film and video tape for posterity the stories of many others under Meher Baba’s guidance. Another film project, which required 7 years of film restoration, was a full-length movie of Baba featuring his work with masts called “Meher Baba: Avatar of the Age”. David Miotke's musical path started from age three and led him to win honors as a singer, accordion and piano player. With interests in classical, to jazz, to rock and roll he eventually pursued a Masters of Music Degree in applied piano at Northwestern University. To his great good fortune, the Beloved, Meher Baba, came into his life at that time. "This is the reason you were born," the inner voice said, seemingly out of the blue. It was Beloved Baba announcing His eternal presence in David's life. A little over a year later he was blessed by Baba to write music to Francis Brabazon's heartfelt lyrics contained in his beautiful book "The East-West Gathering." David and the Chicago group recorded David's original songs in late 1972. David is a professional musician with numerous Baba recordings such as the CD "In Dust I Sing.” Sahavas Storytellers
